Total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) is a surgical procedure in which the uterus is removed using minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques. Laparoscopic surgery involves making several small incisions in the abdomen through which a camera and specialized instruments are inserted to perform the surgery.

During a TLH, the entire uterus, including the cervix, is removed. This procedure is commonly used to treat various gynecologic conditions, such as uterine fibroids, abnormal bleeding, endometriosis, and certain types of cancer. The advantages of TLH include smaller incisions, reduced pain, shorter hospital stays, and faster recovery times compared to traditional open hysterectomy.
